Occupation (NOC): Plasterers, drywall installers and finishers and lathers (73102) Location: Victoria, BC Salary: $32.40 to $36.00 hourly (to be negotiated) Hours: Full-time Term: Permanent Workplace: [object Object] Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Work site environment: At heights, Outdoors Tasks: Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements , Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster, Clean and prepare surfaces, Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners, Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings, Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife, Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets, Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists, Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound, Attach metal or gypsum lath to studs or furring, Cut openings in lath for heating and ventilation piping, ducts and electrical outlets, Install acoustic tile, hangers for suspended ceilings and metal studs for composition wallboard or lath, Install exterior and interior steel studs, Install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings, using hand and power tools, Prepare wall and ceiling layouts Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years Support for youths: Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth, Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for youth, Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth How to apply: By email: wescorcontracting982@gmail.com
