stucco plasterer

DeCicco Bros. Plastering & Stucco · Victoria, BC · $32.40 hourly

Verdict

DeCicco Bros. Plastering & Stucco is a legitimate, established family business with a verified website and matching business/location details. However, the posting exhibits several moderate fraud signals: applicants are directed to mail physical resumes to a residential condo address rather than a commercial office, a generic Gmail domain is used for applications despite the company having a legitimate website, and the mailing address does not match the company's known operational office location. These red flags—particularly the residential application address combined with mail-physical-resume requests—elevate the risk to the medium-high range, though the verified business legitimacy and detailed job description prevent a high-risk classification.

  • web.applicationAddressType == residential+25

    Mailing address (101-1615 Bay St, Victoria) is a residential condo building ('The Nova'), not a commercial office. This is a strong red flag for a professional role.

  • generic_email_domain+18

    Contact email is apply.deciccobros@gmail.com (free consumer provider) despite the company having a legitimate website and domain (deciccobros.ca).

  • mail_physical_resume+15

    Applicants are instructed to mail physical resumes to the residential address, an unusual practice for a modern trade role and consistent with scam patterns.

  • Address mismatch with known operations+12

    The mailing address does not match the company's known operational office location (3015 Pickford Rd per some listings), suggesting the residential address may be a mail drop or personal address.

  • web.locationMatch == match-5

    Website confirms Victoria, BC location matches the job posting location.

  • websiteReachable == yes-10

    https://deciccobros.ca/ is reachable and confirms business legitimacy.

  • Detailed job description with specific tasks and NOC code-10

    Posting includes comprehensive responsibilities, supervision details, work conditions, screening questions, and support programs for multiple demographics—indicative of a professional, legitimate employer.

  • web.businessMatch == match-15

    Official website confirms DeCicco Bros. is a legitimate, established family-operated plastering & stucco company based in Victoria, BC for 40+ years.
