Annacis Construction Ltd. · Surrey, BC · $37.00 hourly

Verdict

This posting exhibits multiple strong fraud indicators that collectively point to a high-risk scam. The employer claims to be a professional construction company yet operates from a residential apartment building with no verifiable business website or registration. The combination of a residential mailing address, generic Gmail contact email, and requirement to mail physical resumes creates a classic advance-fee or credential-harvesting scam pattern. While the job description itself is detailed and plausible, the verification failures and application method red flags override any legitimacy signals from the text.

  • applicationAddressType: residential+40

Mailing address (13145 110 Ave, Surrey, BC V3T 2R1) is a residential apartment building, not a commercial office. Applicants instructed to send physical resumes to a private residence.

  • web.businessMatch: mismatch+22

No official website found for 'Annacis Construction Ltd.' and no legitimate business registration verified. Company claims to be professional but has no online presence.

  • mail_physical_resume + skilled trade role+20

Carpenter position requires applicants to mail physical resumes to residential address. Legitimate construction companies use online portals or email; requesting physical mail to a home is a strong scam indicator.

  • generic_email_domain+18

Contact email is annacisconstructionjobs@gmail.com (free consumer provider), not a company domain. Legitimate businesses use their own domain for recruitment.

  • web.locationMatch: mismatch+12

Claimed business location does not match verified address; residential apartment building is inconsistent with a construction company's operational base.

  • Detailed job description & legitimate salary-15

Job description includes specific NOC code, detailed carpentry tasks, realistic $37/hour salary, and comprehensive accessibility/support programs. Text quality suggests effort to appear legitimate.
