Verdict
Sporting Life Group is a verified real Canadian retailer with a real careers portal, but the web check found an explicit location mismatch: its only BC store is in Burnaby and no Victoria store exists, while this posting claims Victoria. The application still routes to the company's own Dayforce tenant (slg001), so this reads more like a posting-data problem than an impersonation, but the mismatch is a concrete negative finding.

| Summary | Sporting Life Group is a real, substantive Canadian sports retailer founded in 1979, headquartered in Toronto, Ontario. Official website is sportinglife.ca and they have a dedicated careers portal at joinsportinglife.com. However, the posting claims Victoria, BC location, but Sporting Life only has one BC store in Burnaby (Brentwood Mall). No Victoria store exists. Application is online only (no mailing address given). This is a RED FLAG for location mismatch. |
